Sun block clothing is a great option for people who work in the outdoors or who may have hobbies such as boating or golf that bring them outdoors for long periods of time on a regular basis.

Sun block clothing is made of a fabric that is tightly woven and therefore does not let in UV rays as other types of clothing do. Some of these materials are also treated with a sun blocking agent to give even better sun blocking protection.

When you purchase sun block clothing you will find a UPF or UV Protection Factor. This is similar to the SPF of sunscreens. For the best protection you should look for 50+.

Originally the sun block clothing that was available was not the most beautiful, but there are more companies making it now and you can find some quite stylish items to choose from that look good and are comfortable to wear.

It is a good idea to have a few items of sun block clothing for those days you will be spending a lot of time under the sun. Protecting your skin doesn’t get any easier than just putting on the right shirt in the morning!
